Delete your account
Last updated 17 August 2026
You can ask us to delete your Turnaround QC account and the personal data attached to it at any time, for any reason, without giving one. This page works whether or not you can still sign in.
If you can still sign in, do it yourself
Sign in and find Delete account in the foot of the left-hand menu, under your account. Confirm there and your account is deleted immediately — no request, no waiting, and nobody reads it first.
The one case it will refuse is if you own the organisation. Deleting the owner would take everyone else's work with it, so that has to be a separate request — transfer ownership first, or ask below.
If you cannot sign in, ask us
Email us from the address on the account:
If that button does not work on your device, send a plain email to info@turnaroundqc.com with the subject Account deletion request, and tell us the email address on the account and the company it belongs to.
Send it from the address on the account if you possibly can. That is the fastest way for us to be sure the request is really yours. If you no longer have access to that mailbox, write anyway and we will find another way to verify you — we will not delete an account on the say-so of an unverified stranger, because that would itself be a way to attack somebody.
What happens then
- We confirm we have received it, normally within 3 business days.
- We verify that the account is yours.
- We delete it, and confirm by email when it is done. This is completed within 30 days of a verified request, and usually much sooner.
What gets deleted
- Your sign-in credentials and your user profile.
- Your name, email address and any contact details held against you.
- Your membership of any organisation, and any invitations you sent or received.
What does not, and why
Deleting your account is not the same as deleting your company's records. Turnaround QC is used by teams: the weld logs, joint records, blind lists and test packages belong to the organisation that paid for and produced them, not to you personally. If you delete your own account, that work stays with your organisation and your colleagues keep working.
If you want the whole organisation and everything in it removed — not just your own access — say so explicitly in your email. We will confirm you are entitled to ask for that before doing it, because it destroys other people's work as well as yours.
- Billing records. Where tax or accounting law requires us to keep a record of a transaction, we keep that record and nothing else. Stripe holds its own copy of payment history under its own retention rules, which we do not control.
- Records other people have already been given. A turnover package, data report or export that has been printed, emailed or handed to a client is outside our reach. We cannot reach into somebody else's copy.
- Backups age out on their own schedule. Deleted data is not restored into a live account from them.
Export first if you want a copy
Deletion is permanent and we cannot undo it. If you want to keep any of your work, export it before you ask — every table exports, and the application will not stop you taking a copy.
